Every act of kindness (a donation, an item, or act of service) helps provide essential care to someone who needs it. Every Party In-Kindness (PIK) program is built around one simple principle: transforming kindness into care our community can feel and use.
Care Kit Program
Our care kits are the heart of what we do, meeting immediate needs while reminding recipients that their community cares. We believe that investing in women uplifts entire families and communities. We provide Women's Care Kits to women living in shelters, accessing community assistance programs, and those undergoing cancer treatment. These kits carry more than essentials. They carry hope, dignity, and the reminder that they are not forgotten. We also provide Kiddy Care Kits to children in hospitals and foster care, because every child deserves to feel seen, safe, and cared for. Together, these care kits are a powerful way to create lasting change in our community.
Cancer Care Kits
Recipient: Cancer patients in treatment
Purpose: Cancer Care Kits
Items provided: lip balm, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, tissues, handheld fan, cozy socks or scarf, journal
Self-Care Kits
Recipient: Women (and Men) living in shelters
Purpose: Hygiene Care Kits
Items provided: soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, razor, female products
Kiddy care Kits
Recipient: Children in foster care or ill in the hospital
Purpose: Activity Toy Kits
Items provided: small toys, play-doh or slime, puzzles, crafts
Giving Projects
For children: PIK Giving Projects are the perfect way to introduce your child to the joy of giving back! Designed with elementary school-age kids in mind, our hands-on projects make philanthropy fun and accessible, empowering young hearts to make a real difference in their community. Host a “Party In-Kindness”
A "Party In-Kindness" is a great way to have fun and give back by helping provide essential care kits to women in shelters, women undergoing cancer treatment, and children in hospitals and foster care in the East Bay Area. We handle the giving component of your party so you can enjoy your celebration while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Submit the Party Request below: Before you plan your party, we'll work with you to focus your guests' generosity towards one of the causes in our care kit program. Your party can support individuals rebuilding their sense of comfort in shelters, women navigating cancer treatment, or children in the hospital or foster homes.
We'll set you up for success: We will provide you with a curated list of care kit items to share with your guests ahead of the party; making it simple, fun, and meaningful for everyone to participate. Your guests will know exactly who they're helping and why it matters.
We deliver the donations: Once the party is over and all of the items are collected, we schedule a pickup and assemble the donations into care kits for delivery to women shelters, cancer treatment centers, children's hospitals, and foster care organizations across the East Bay Area.
Party In-Kindness is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All care kits, monetary and in-kind donations are donated to Party In-Kindness and distributed to those we serve: women living in shelters, women undergoing cancer treatment, and children staying in hospitals and foster care.
